This series is written to meet the aims and objectives of teaching mathematics at primary stage for the schools following the syllabi prepared by the Inter-state Board for Anglo-Indian Education. Core mathematical concepts have been presented in an innovative and lucid manner. Use of language has been kept at a minimum. Presentation of matter is activity-based and in spiral order. Stereotype questions have been avoided. Questions are given in story form, in the form of number puzzle, etc. Thought-provoking questions are also given under the heading Put on your Thinking Cap. The series has been prepared to enable the young students to understand the concepts of mathematics in simple and easy language. The mental level of the students has been kept in mind while explaining these concepts. Daily life examples have been selected to make the subject lively and interesting. The series has been prepared to help the students increase their thinking and reasoning power. The new terms have been introduced at appropriate places.
